Join us for a FREE Professional Development Workshop for GISA Members:  Destination 2032: Preparing goal-directed, self-driven, and future-focused learners

Principals, Heads of School, Teachers and Educational leaders at Georgia Independent Schools, join Sucheta Kamath, CEO & Founder, ExQ® for a new professional development workshop to learn more about the value and importance of teaching Executive Function Skills.

A goal-directed, self-driven, and future-focused learner who has mastered learning how to learn is the most prepared student ready to enter life beyond K-12 education. The underlying skill that supports and promotes such independence is well-developed Executive Function, ranging from mental capacity to sustain attention, organize materials, prioritize actions, approach learning flexibly, problem solve, and think about the big-picture, in and beyond school. With a globally aligned vision and resources, our Independent Schools are invested in creating tomorrow’s leaders who can take charge of challenging environments and changing times. However, far too often current learning priorities keep students focused on daily work and grades creating a disconnect between habit mastery and long-term self-management.

Join Sucheta Kamath to explore the neuroscience of Executive Function and learn how direct and explicit emphasis on instructional curriculum that promotes the mastery of Executive Function can ensure students have cultivated the necessary self-awareness and critical thinking skills essential to strategize for learning and life.

Learning Objectives:

Learn how Executive Function impacts learners’ capabilities to cope and adapt during transitions

Discover the value proposition for incorporating personalized learning through Executive Function curriculum into Middle and High School

Understand how training advanced Executive Function skills influences the ability to empathize, identify needs to achieve common goals, strengthen adaptive flexibility, and increase awareness about social responsibility

Sucheta has also built an ExQ Teacher Academy with in-depth training and expansive resources for K-12 educators. She is the host of the Full PreFrontal®: Exposing the Mysteries of Executive Function; where her invited guests range from neuroscientists, researchers, educators, SLPs, sociologists, anthropologists, journalists, and even business leaders.

In her spare time, Sucheta loves to read, cook and travel the world with her husband and their two sons.
