Based on our specialized training\, helpful nature of our profession and strong interpersonal communication skills\, SLPs make great entrepreneurs. The rise in an e-commerce and social marketing platforms have made way for creative minds and experienced clinicians to create and package their niche methods\, ideas\, and even services to meet the demands and solve problems at the same time. The question is\, is this everyone’s cup of tea? \nLearning Objectives: \nThis session is designed for speech-language pathologists to learn about the expert-to-entrepreneur path\, identify characteristics within themselves for becoming an entrepreneur and finally\, figure out ways to take concrete steps to achieve the goals they have for themselves. \nAbout Sucheta Kamath\, CEO & Founder\, ExQ: \nSucheta Kamath\, is an award-winning speech-language pathologist\, a TEDx speaker\, and a tech-entrepreneur who has created ExQ®; a 100% digital\, patented and cloud-based curriculum for middle and high school students designed to assess\, personalize\, and build Executive Function skills through games\, error analysis\, and metacognitive lessons. Sucheta has also built an ExQ Teacher Academy with in-depth training and expansive resources for K-12 educators. She is the host of the Full PreFrontal®: Exposing the Mysteries of Executive Function; where her invited guests range from neuroscientists\, researchers\, educators\, SLPs\, sociologists\, anthropologists\, journalists\, and even business leaders. \nFor more than 13 years\, Sucheta has had a daily contemplative practice and is currently working on completing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with a focus on DEI with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. \nFinally\, Sucheta is deeply committed to volunteerism and while serving on many boards she prioritizes her work through the lens of Race\, Equity\, Diversity and Inclusion. For the past four years\, she has founded and currently runs (along with her GSHA colleagues) GSHA Gives!\, a free communication and Executive Function job-readiness training program for previously homeless\, incarcerated\, and disenfranchised men returning to building a meaningful life in the inner-city Atlanta. \nIn her spare time\, Sucheta loves to read\, cook and travel the world with her husband and their two sons. \nSign up today to download the presentation deck

SUMMARY:Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL)\, Annual Winter Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join CEO and Founder of ExQ\, Sucheta Kamath and Dr. Noris Price\, Superintendent of Baldwin Country Schools for a FREE Workshop at the GAEL Annual Winter Conference. The topic of their presentation is Developing the Executive Function Skills of School and District Leaders. \nA key factor in retention and job satisfaction of teachers and school leaders is resiliency\, the skills needed to have adaptive responses to hardships even when exposed to adversity. With a growing teacher and leader burn-out\, compounded with the COVID pandemic’s incremental stress levels and increased conflict\, schools are facing growing risk factors that are impeding our teachers and leaders’ abilities to cultivate and maintain healthy work/life balance. We will share how we implemented a new focus on providing Professional Development in Executive Function skills to retain our teachers and school leaders. We’ll showcase how we implemented Executive Function training with our partner ExQ starting with a Leadership Workshop and a series of Professional Development initiatives; best practices for optimal growth; and the progress measures used to ensure that teachers and school leaders are equipped with a personalized learning plan. \nWe’d love to spend some time with you at the Conference\, share a cup of coffee to discuss how Georgia’s educational leaders are partnering with ExQ to implement Executive Function curriculum around the country\, and explore ways to bring ExQ’s innovative curriculum to your school or practice to help build the Executive Function skills needed to succeed in school and in life! \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n NameThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? *ParentTeacherAdministratorSchool Board MemberSLP (Speech Language Pathologist)Principal/HeadmasterCounselorPsychologistEvent PlannerIndustry FollowerSpecial Education TeacherMediaLearnerOtherHow many Students?*How many Students? *1-5051-100101-300301-500501-10001001+Focus of SchoolFocus of SchoolGeneralArtsSTEMSpecial NeedsGiftedOtherHow Urgent Is Your Need? How Urgent Is Your Need?Very UrgentModerately UrgentWe are conducting research on Executive Function training programsWe are requesting proposals from curriculum and training providersExQ respects your time and inbox! SUMMARY:2nd National Multi-faith Conference: Ending Mass Incarceration
DESCRIPTION:Join CEO and Founder of ExQ\, Sucheta Kamath as she speaks at the 2nd National Multi-faith Conference: Ending Mass Incarceration The topic of her presentation is Unlocking Re-entry Success with Executive Function Training. \nA key ingredient to leading a productive life is strong Executive Function\, which refers to a set of skills essential to appropriately adjust one’s thoughts\, emotions\, and actions to achieve self-set goals in the midst of uncertainty or chaos. The disenfranchisement caused by mass incarceration not only excludes individuals from society and severs meaning and purpose from their lives\, but the prolonged condition of incarceration leaves negative neuropsychological imprint including poor mental health outcomes\, loss of autonomy\, and reduced self-regulation. This presentation will discuss ways to include executive function training into a post-incarceration care plan to help individuals gain personal agency\, interpersonal intimacy\, and overall professional or social success. \nWe’d love to spend some time with you at the Conference\, share a cup of coffee to discuss how Georgia’s educational leaders are partnering with ExQ to implement Executive Function curriculum around the country\, and explore ways to bring ExQ’s innovative curriculum to your school\, district or practice to help build the Executive Function skills needed to succeed in school and in life! \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n InstagramThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:ASHA Masterclass at the 2022 Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join Sucheta at the 2022 Annual ASHA Conference as she gives a Masterclass on Inverting the Burden: A Case Study Analysis Approach to Equitable Outcomes. \nAs service providers\, community builders\, academicians and policy makers rethink the ways to achieve health and educational equity\, efforts are being made to interrogate the systems that widen the opportunity gap while producing unfavorable outcomes in the marginalized groups. “Inverting the burden” is the process by which we can operationalize our efforts to challenge the longstanding inequities and hidden racism by upturning the burden from individuals to institutions. \nRegistration Required ~ Please complete the form below to attend this Masterclass. SUMMARY:Arkansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a FREE Keynote and Workshop Session for ArkSHA Members: Keynote: Lizard Brain vs. Wizard Brain: Evidence-Based Executive Function Strategies to Manage Self-Regulation Over a Lifespan \nRace\, Equity and Walking the Walk: Championing for racial healing by intentionally interrogating history intentionally and examining personal blind-spots boldly \nKeynote: \nSelf-control is the ability and skill that enables our willingness to cooperate with others while sacrificing in the moment\, which in return\, ensures our future success. A healthy prefrontal system enables individuals to readjust behaviors\, reappraise emotional and affective states\, while redirecting behaviors and actions to produce favorable outcomes for the future-self and for others. Evidence from neuroscience and cognitive psychology suggests that Executive Function skills are highly malleable and are sensitive to training by cultivating future-forward emotions. This presentation discusses effective and evidence-based strategies that improve future-oriented reasoning and emotional regulation during gratification postponement processes such that children and adults can effectively predict performance challenges and handle mistakes while keeping in mind the needs of the future-self. \nSession:\nAgainst the backdrop of long-standing systemic racism and amid the upheaval of the global pandemic\, the essential questions about race\, equity and equality in United states has once again taken the center stage. Historically\, while the field of speech-language pathology and audiology has largely been homogenous and while tasked to serve the needs of underrepresented communities\, many experience discomfort around the conversation about race\, diversity\, and inequality which can and does have an impact on the students\, professionals\, and consumers alike. \nJoin Sucheta Kamath and discover how becoming an equity champion is an active process of gathering accurate historic information\, committing to confronting present-day inequities\, and shifting perspectives through open dialogues in bold spaces. By examining the development of one’s own racial identity and race-socialization\, speech-language pathologists and audiologists can become the greatest “anti-racist ally” who feel equipped to champion for racial healing with urgency\, energy\, and care in their professional as well as personal work. This session will present effective and evidence-based strategies to improve children’s future-oriented reasoning and emotional regulation during gratification postponement processes such that they can effectively predict performance challenges\, anticipate glitches\, and handle mistakes while keeping in mind the needs of the future-self. \nIf you’d like to connect with Sucheta at this event\, or keep the conversation going after the event\, please sign up to schedule a meeting. \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n FacebookThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:Georgia Speech Language Hearing Association (GSHA) 2022 Convention
DESCRIPTION:Sucheta Kamath\, CEO & Founder\, ExQ® is thrilled to join the Georgia Speech Language Hearing Association (GSHA) 2022 Convention as an invited speaker! Let’s Talk About Race: Engaging in antiracism work by interrogating history and examining personal blind-spots with urgency\, energy\, and care	Against the backdrop of long-standing systemic racism and amid the upheaval of the global pandemic\, the essential questions about race\, equity and equality in United states has once again taken the center stage. \nJoin Sucheta Kamath and discover how an antiracist approach is an active process of gathering accurate historic information\, committing to confronting present-day inequities\, and shifting perspectives through bold and open dialogues in safe spaces. By examining the development of one’s own racial identity and race-socialization\, speech-language pathologists and audiologists can become the greatest “anti-racist ally” who champion for racial healing in their professional as well as personal work. \nIf you’d like to connect with Sucheta at this event\, or keep the conversation going after the event\, please sign up to schedule a meeting. \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n CommentsThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:International Dyslexia Association (IDA-TN 2022)
DESCRIPTION:Sucheta Kamath\, CEO & Founder\, ExQ® is thrilled to join IDA-TN 2022 as an invited speaker! Her talk is entitled: Bridging the Gap between current learning priorities and future aspirations for all children. \nActualizing one’s future-aspirations entails becoming a goal-directed\, self-driven\, future-focused learner who has mastered learning how to learn. The underlying skill that supports and promotes such independence is well-developed Executive Function\, which ranges from mental capacity to sustain attention\, organize materials\, prioritize actions\, approach learning flexibly\, problem solve\, and think about the big-picture in and outside of school. However\, far too often current learning priorities keep students focused on daily work and grades creating a disconnect between habit mastery and long-term self-management. And without direct or explicit emphasis on instructions that promote the development of Executive Function\, students leave high school without the necessary self-awareness to strategize for learning and life. \nIn this workshop\, Sucheta Kamath will discuss ways to align teaching and learning that fosters Executive Function in order to prepare self-driven students who know how to plan their work\, manage their time\, adapt during uncertainty\, handle their emotions\, and know when and how to ask for help. Since research-based pedagogy and programs designed for students with diverse learning needs are proven to be effective for all students without formal struggles\, an Executive Function learning approach can and does enrich the learning experience for the entire learning community. \nIf you’d like to connect with Sucheta at this event\, or keep the conversation going after the event\, please sign up to schedule a meeting. \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n LinkedInThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:Madison City Schools Alabama SLP Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Leading with the frontal lobes to promote self-regulation and Executive Function to learning and life \nSucheta Kamath\, CEO & Founder\, ExQ® is honored to be an Invited Speaker at the Madison City Schools Alabama SLP Seminar. Sucheta’s talk is entitled\, “Leading With the Frontal Lobes to Promote Self-Regulation and Executive Function to Learning and Life. The frontal lobes are tasked with future-forecasting; an ability to formulate goals\, predict the outcomes\, and reshape decisions based on personal intentions\, past scenarios\, ongoing experiences\, and the larger social context. By connecting with the need of the future-self through self-awareness and self-regulated strategies\, highly efficient and independent children and adults cultivate self-efficacy. In essence\, the frontal lobes act as the boss brain\, directing\, supporting\, guiding\, and managing behaviors\, attitudes\, actions\, and connections particularly during stress\, uncertainty and change and the goal of therapy is to help the boss brain lead the way. \nIn this session\, Sucheta will present evidence-based effective strategies to help build executive function and emotional regulation in children and adults with cognitive-communication disorders in a variety of contexts. The participants will discover effective practices designed to enhance clients’ internal and external self-awareness and ways to connect with their future-selves in order to exert greater influence on their multifaced lives. Finally\, this presentation will help clinicians dive deep into the interplay between one’s own EF skills and of those that we coach\, teach\, or manage. If you’d like to connect with Sucheta at this event\, or keep the conversation going after the event\, please sign up to schedule a meeting. \n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n PhoneThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:ASHA 2021 Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Sucheta Kamath\, Founder and CEO\, ExQ® is excited to participate as a Master Class speaker at the ASHA 2021 Annual Conference: \nAn Antiracist Ally: Committing to Racial Healing by Interrogating History\, Implicit Bias and Personal Blind-spots \nAgainst the backdrop of long-standing systemic racism and amid the upheaval of the global pandemic\, the essential questions about race\, equity and equality in the US has once again taken the center stage. Historically\, while the field of speech-language pathology and audiology has largely been homogenous and tasked to serve the needs of the underrepresented communities\, many experience discomfort around the conversation about race and diversity which has an impact on the professionals and consumers. \nDownload Sucheta Kamath’s PDF and discover how to become an “anti-racist ally”; an active process that relies on gathering accurate historic information\, perspective shift\, bold open dialogues in safe spaces about one’s own role – the implicit bias and personal blind spots with urgency and energy.

SUMMARY:The 21ST Annual ICM Prayer Celebration for Children
DESCRIPTION:At the 21st Annual ICM Prayer Celebration for Children\, we’re having an Interfaith and Intergenerational Conversation. Heartfelt conversations are critical and necessary to propel our youth\, our cherished legacy forward. Youth voices will be at the forefront as they have panel discussions with interfaith and advocacy speakers. We’ve got a GREAT line-up of guest speakers\, including: \nAndrew Young:\nICM is honored to have Andrew Young\, one of Atlanta’s heroes\, engage the youth of the ICM Youth Social Justice Academy in a heartfelt conversation about what it takes to be an activist. Mr. Young began his career as a pastor and became an early leader in the civil rights movement. He was a close confidant to Martin Luther King Jr. and was executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). Later he became active in politics\, serving as a U.S. Congressman from Georgia\, United States Ambassador to the United Nations in the Carter Administration\, and 55th Mayor of Atlanta. The youth are excited to exchange thoughts and ideas with such an icon as Andrew Young. \nRabbi Lydia Medwin:\nRabbi Lydia Medwin is the assistant rabbi at The Temple. She was ordained just 11 years ago\, and she’s already made an impact on the world. At The Temple\, Rabbi Medwin leads the Rothschild Social Justice Institute. Her job is to involve The Temple’s 1500 families in raising their voices for justice in our society. Rabbi Medwin loves to make sure the Jewish youth work actively with adults in these justice projects. Her vibrant spirit and great sense of humor will ensure an active back and forth conversation with her youthful conversation partners. \nSucheta Kamath:\nSucheta Kamath immigrated to Atlanta from India as a young adult. In college\, she got interested in what it takes to be a good learner. Now she’s a well-known speech–language pathologist. Ms Kamath says\, “Learning how to learn is critical for school-aged children and remains one of the most reliable predictors of success beyond the formal years of learning.” Ms. Kamath founded ExQ®\, a successful online learning program for middle and high school students that empowers them to develop self-awareness and strategic thinking skills. She’s looking forward to a lively conversation with ICM Social Justice Academy youth. \nPlus there will be a live Q&A\, amazing youth performances\, and we’ll present the 2nd Annual Marian Wright Edelman Award. \nDon’t miss this enriching event!\nIf you are going to the event and you’d like to meet with Sucheta Kamath\, please sign up:\n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n CommentsThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role? SUMMARY:Morris County Speech and Hearing Association Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:Sucheta Kamath\, Founder and CEO\, ExQ®\, is honored to have been invited to speak at the 2021 Morris County Speech and Hearing Association Annual Conference. Sucheta’s talk is entitled: Build a Better Future Self: Applying Executive Function Principles to Enhance Self-Management in Children and Adults. \nThe frontal lobes are tasked with future-forecasting; an ability to formulate goals\, predict outcomes\, and reshape decisions based on personal intentions\, past scenarios\, ongoing experiences\, and social contexts. By looking back\, we begin to shape how we look ahead. Connecting with the needs of the future-self requires self-awareness and those with cultivated self-efficacy are highly efficient and independent individuals and self-regulated strategizers. \nThis session will present effective and evidence-based strategies to help build executive function and emotional regulation in children and adults with cognitive-communication disorders in a variety of contexts. Participants will discover effective practices designed to enhance clients’ internal and external self-awareness and ways to connect with their future-selves in order to exert greater influence on their multifaced lives. Finally\, this presentation will help clinicians dive deep into the interplay between one’s own EF skills and those that we coach\, teach\, or manage. \nAfter the event\, if you would like to connect with ExQ® and keep the conversation going\, please sign up:\n\n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Δ\n \n \n\n \n CompanyThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n E-mail Address*\n \n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n Phone NumberExtensionCity*State*Name of School*School District*Type of School*Type of School *PrivatePublicCharterOnlineSchool Level*School Level *Middle SchoolHigh SchoolOtherWhat's Your Role?*What's Your Role?
