God on the Brain: Role of faith, religion and spirituality on personal and collective wellbeing

Sucheta Kamath is honored to have been invited to speak at the IQRA Women’s Book Club.  The name of our talk is, God on the Brain: Role of faith, religion and spirituality on personal and collective wellbeing.

She will discuss the evolution of human frontal-lobes has enabled us to do the right thing; particularly, when that right thing is really hard to do. The scientific studies on impact of religious belief on well-being show its substantial positive influence on coping with disease and adversity and general increase in lifespan. It is the faith, religion and spirituality that provides individuals the essential inner strength, attachment and security while promoting the maturity of frontal lobes unlocking moral reasoning.
