Participating in this ExQ contest gives students, teachers, and schools the chance to win a Scholarship Award and be part of a powerful movement to champion the impact of Executive Function in education!
The winning students and teachers are invited to join Sucheta Kamath at the Georgia Capitol to celebrate Georgia’s Executive Function Day.
Lunch will be provided, and a travel stipend will be issued to winners in the state of Georgia who are located more than 50 miles from the Georgia Capitol. Winners outside the state of Georgia will receive the Scholarship Award but will not be eligible for the Capitol event.

Here’s how to join in:
FOR STUDENTS
Create and upload a video* showcasing one of these scenarios:
Option 1: Using a printed copy of your ExQ Vision Board, explain how it has helped you see your Future-Self more clearly and how you are thinking about your long-term goals beyond this grade and beyond middle or high school years.
Option 2: As a result of your ongoing work with ExQ, share which Executive Function skills (Focus, Working Memory, Prospective Memory, Organization & planning, Problem Solving, Mental Flexibility, Self-Awareness, Emotional Resilience or Strategic Thinking) have improved the most and how these new skills are helping you overcome everyday learning challenges and daily obstacles.
Option 3: Accomplishing goals in spite of difficulties can be hard and requires navigating negativity. Share the changes you are noticing in your emotional reactivity (frustration, anger or disappointment) and how your interactions with others have improved as a result of ExQ training.
Option 4: Share how ExQ training has impacted how you think about your goals, plans and actions and explain three ways you are using My Success Playbook to help your Future-Self become more prepared.

FOR TEACHERS
Create and upload a video* showcasing one of these scenarios:
Option 1: Share a walkthrough of how you have decorated your ExQ Classroom to promote Executive Function culture and describe ways in which you engage your students in ExQ.
Option 2: Share how you’ve used your Executive Function skills to overcome classroom challenges and how has that influenced your teaching success.
Option 3: Share a facilitated dialogue between you and your students as you explore your students’ ExQ experience, their growing insight into importance of Executive Function skills (including, goal setting, organization and planning and emotional agility to handle difficulties with goal achievement) and ways they can apply these insights to personal success.
Option 4: Share the impact of learning about your OWN Executive Function strengths and challenges (through your ExQ Benchmark) has had on you (as an adult and as an educator) and ways in which you’ve incorporated this knowledge in your life.

You’re welcome to submit multiple entries. Winners will be selected based on only one of their submissions. Contest entries limited to ExQ Partner School participants.
